Brandon is the chief technology strategist for Pixo and its clients. He guides teams in selecting and designing effective software solutions. Because he integrates the perspectives of a manager, programmer, and end-user, he advocates for technology solutions that are reliable, user-friendly, and standards-compliant. He has spearheaded Pixo's efforts to implement cost-effective usability engineering, web standards and accessibility, and rigorous quality assurance.
Brandon grew up in Urbana-Champaign. He attended University High School, then the University of Illinois where he earned a BS in Mathematics and an Information Studies minor at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science. His mathematics coursework included Automata and formal languages, Graph theory, and Computational complexity. Brandon has wide-ranging experience as a software engineer, database designer, and technical lead on hundreds of projects at Pixo since 1998.
Recently, Brandon has promoted the selection and implementation of content management systems for scores of information-rich, interactive websites. He has worked with open source CMS tools such as Drupal, commercial tools including Pixo 's own WebEasel, which Brandon guided as project lead from conception to initial public release, and custom-built tools for McGraw-Hill, UIC and others.
