Challenge

OJC’s Directors and staff have played a strong advocacy role in support of local and state arts programs and funding and has watched with dismay as funding for the arts was slashed by the state. In the face of these cuts, it becomes even more important that the Illinois Arts Council have an effective Web site and Strategic Plan that supports the professionalism and reach of IAC’s programs and provides information, resources and support to arts organizations throughout the state.

Solution

State officials should feel encouraged to renew their awareness of how vital the arts are to all aspects of life. The role of the IAC in fostering the various, lively interactions between the arts and education should be recognized valuable work. Crafting of imagery and language that helps IAC achieve its goals have been the key elements of Pixo’s contribution.
