Wireless
We deliver wireless from top to bottom: 802.11 WiFi device driver development; network protocol design and programming; BSD kernel development; custom mesh networks and network appliances.
Device Drivers
Pixo engineers can produce a reliable, high-performance driver for any computer peripheral. Pixo specializes in drivers for network adapters, especially 802.11 adapters, and for new or exotic hardware. In past projects, we coaxed top performance from a novel 802.11n adapter. Our team includes NetBSD developers who have written open-source drivers that the NetBSD, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and Solaris operating systems distribute.
Network Protocols
Pixo designs and implements state-of-the-art IP networking solutions. Our design expertise spans routing protocols, a novel name service, and operating system network stacks. Pixo developed the innovative CUWiN system, an open source community wireless product making self-organizing mesh networking a reality. We also ported NetBSD and CUWiN to Meraki Mini, a cutting-edge mesh networking device.
BSD Development and Embedded Devices
Pixo provides BSD kernel development and ports to new hardware. We can create a customized BSD-based solution to solve your networking challenges.
Pixo provides software and system design for embedded devices. We specialize in building autonomous, self-organizing distributed systems.
