Melinda Miller and Jason Berg became the new owners of Pixo in July after buying out founder Lori Gold Patterson.
Before the buyout, Melinda and Jason had been effectively running the company since January 2019 and have been part of Pixo’s leadership team since 2013 and 2015, respectively.
Melinda serves as the company’s General Manager, where she focuses on managing and organizing Pixo’s consulting team. As company president, Jason is responsible for identifying and connecting with prospective clients. They are both an integral part of Pixo’s consulting practice. Pixo’s leadership team also includes Director of Business Development & Finance Joanna Troutman and Engineering Manager Chris Hopkins.
Pixo is 25 strong, including software engineers, web developers, UX designers, content strategists, visual designers, project managers, quality assurance specialists, business development team members, and operations professionals. Although the Pixo team is working remotely at home for the foreseeable future, the company’s home base continues to be in downtown Urbana.
The Pixo team works with each other and their clients to create well-researched and thoughtfully engineered websites, apps, and software that solve problems and put people first.
Pixo, originally called On the Job Consulting (OJC), was founded in 1998 by Lori and her brother, Sigfried Gold.
