Summary
Factory workers in a heavy industrial plant relied on core software for critical daily operations. But because the tools were not purpose-built for the harsh environment, the user experience suffered, leading to inefficiency and frustration. Following extensive, personalized UX/UI research and site visits, Pixo delivered a custom UI tailored to their use case. The interface was clearly visible in daylight, easy to navigate in low-light conditions, and not overly reliant on haptic feedback (which is ineffective amid a lot of background noise and vibrations). Designed primarily for use on portable tablet devices, it was responsive to environmental factors and spotty Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
